New Yorkers- we need you to show up for justice. It’s been three years since 2020  and the police are still attacking the public. And lives are still being lost.

But change is still possible.

On October 19th, join communities across NYC at City Hall for a People’s Hearing for police accountability, calling for a new bill that creates community oversight of the NYPD.

Come hold a portrait of someone who lost their life to police violence. Hear the many voices from diverse communities calling out to hold police accountable.

And show the City Council it’s time to pass the Community POWER Act.

The Community POWER Act would create a community-elected board and Independent Prosecutor with the power to fire & prosecute offending officers.

New York City needs this bill, but since insider politicians are trying to kill it and prevent a hearing. So we’re going to have one of our own. A People’s Hearing.

You can make a difference and show the City Council it’s time to hold police accountable.

Show up. Bring a friend. And take a stand for what’s right.
